AlertFeed.com supports protocols and provides API's for automated communication with partners.
The Open Alert Messaging Protocol is dedicated to delivering alert messages between public alert services.
OAMP features:
The first iteration of OAMP has been in production since 2018. OAMP has been designed with interoperability with the CAP in mind.
The Alert Provider API implements OAMP. Alert Providers can use the Alert Provider API and OAMP to deliver alerts to AlertFeed.com as they occur in realtime.
The Alert Message Publish Protocol is dedicated to distributing alert messages from AlertFeed.com to Alert Publishers in a format that suits the publishers best for easy distribution and visualization.
The output is highly configurable, offering Alert Publishers extensive customization options for alert selection, frequencies, and formats.
Protocol features:
The main function of the protocol is the Alert Request. The Alert Request basicly asks: "Which alert is currently available to display on this screen / location?"
The response to an Alert Request is the Alert Response. The Alert Response contains the alert data, if any, for a specific location and device in realtime.
The Alert Publisher API implements the Alert Message Publish Protocol. Alert Publishers can use the Alert Publisher API to obtain alerts in realtime.
AlertFeed.com provides demo and test data, which is ideal to test integration scenarios. All partners have the ability to connect with 'demo' partners. These demo partners generate actual traffic, which can be used for demonstration and/or integration testing purposes.
